Defiant Guild Guidelines
Defiant is a casual raiding guild...but what exactly does casual raiding guild mean?
Casual raiding is raiding for the fun of it. Progression, while important, is not the be-all, end-all. It's about seeing new content and learning new content at our own pace, not at the pace dictated by what other guilds are doing.
However, in order to have fun, raiders need to keep a few things in mind. Courtesy to your fellow guildmates, patience with your fellow guildmates, and doing your part to learn the content and play to the best of your abilities.
Loot Rules: Loot will generally be rolled on (1-100). We do not and will not employ a DKP system. The GM and officers reserve the right to assign loot to priority classes or people. This will be based on what helps the guild as a whole, and to compensate those players who show up for every raid but can't seem to roll higher than a 10. New raiders will not be able to roll on their first raid, but will be able to roll on subsequent raids. New Members will roll 1-50 on their first eligible raid, and 1-75 on their second eligible raid. After their 3rd eligible raid, they will then roll 1-100. This will allow weighting to favor our veteran members while still allowing new members to be competitive in loot rolling.
Raid Rules: Damage Meters will not be posted on raid chat. Chatting on vent should be kept to a minimum when the raid leader is explaining content or assigning responsibilities.
Raid participation: If we have too many people for a 25-man raid, the raid leader will ask for people to voluntarily sit out. If there are not enough volunteers, we will ask people to sit out who either do not need the gear or whose gear is a bit underpowered. Also, tanks and healers will always be a priority over DPS if there are not enough of them in the raid.
The number one rule we employ is fairness. We will always try to be as fair as we can to everyone.
